Strickler Platnick & Hatfield is a boutique family law firm based in Bethesda, Maryland. The firm was started by the three named partners after two decades working in larger practices. The firm now serves clients both in-person and virtually across a variety of family law matters, including divorce, custody, alimony, and mediation work.

The Challenge

For most of his career Geoff tracked time on paper “chit sheets,” then in a running Word document. Every evening he had to decode those cryptic notes and re-enter them into billing software—a process riddled with leakage:
