Can lawyers enter and manage their time without leaving Legora? How much of their billed time involves work in Legora? And what impact does Legora have on productivity and write-offs?
These are some of the questions firms ask once their lawyers start using Legora. Answering them starts with accurate time data.
PointOne, the AI time entry and intelligence platform for law firms, and Legora today announced a partnership connecting two essential layers of the modern law firm: Legora's agentic AI layer, where legal work gets done, and PointOne's time data layer, which captures how time is spent across matters and activities.
The integration will roll out in three stages:
Automated time entry. PointOne automatically captures work performed in Legora and generates time entries with the relevant client, matter, task code, and description of the work, such as “Draft memorandum in support of motion to dismiss amended complaint.” Lawyers can then access, review, create, and edit their PointOne time entries directly within Legora, without switching applications.
A dashboard in Legora, to quantify Legora’s value. Legora will develop a dashboard to help firms quantify the value they get from Legora. For mutual customers, these dashboards will be powered by PointOne’s time data.
Usage analytics in Legora. For mutual customers, PointOne’s time data will also power a dashboard on Legora aimed at providing firms greater visibility into the ways their lawyers are spending time in Legora.
PointOne and Legora plan to expand the partnership with additional use cases over time.
Making timekeeping part of the legal workflow
AI is accelerating the delivery timeline of legal services, while also introducing a new layer of complexity. Law firms are now seeking a clearer understanding of how time is spent and how work is performed.
Réna Kakon, Growth Lead at PointOne, said: “The real value of legal AI isn’t defined by what individual tools can do, but by how well they work together. Lawyers shouldn’t have to stop and record the time they spend in Legora, and firms shouldn’t have to guess what that time is delivering. Our partnership with Legora is designed to address both.”
Legora is where the work happens. PointOne provides the time data that helps firms understand the effort behind it. By connecting the two, the partnership lays the foundation for a more complete picture of legal work, one that supports better decision-making at firms, regardless of how clients are billed.
It also creates an opportunity to measure the return on a firm’s investment in Legora by comparing the time lawyers spend on each type of task before and after they adopt Legora.
Gabriel Quek, Senior Director of Technology Partnerships at Legora, said: “Firm leaders want two things: to stop revenue leakage from unbilled time, and to see how Legora is used across the firm and what it delivers. This integration is designed to do both. PointOne will automatically create time entries for work in Legora, and we plan to use PointOne’s time data to show usage and value inside Legora.”
Availability
Once released, the integration will be available only to firms that license both PointOne and Legora and authorize its use. Mutual customers can register their interest today with their PointOne or Legora account team.
